Local Service in Spain: advantages for international productions

11 May 2026

Spain is an exceptional set: a variety of landscapes within a few hours' drive, costs competitive against northern Europe, technical crews seasoned in international production, a mature film-services network and a climate calendar that lets you plan exteriors with real margin. The challenge isn't selling Spain; it's coordinating all of that without losing quality when the production isn't local.

Our Local Service model centralises the point of contact and decentralises execution. A single point of contact for the client; tailored local crews at each location. The foreign client doesn't have to learn who's who in Andalusia, who invoices in Madrid or who resolves a permit in the Balearics. We solve it before they even ask.

Andalusia as an operating base

Seville, Malaga and Cádiz cover most of the territory with contained travel: in under three hours you go from Atlantic coast to Mediterranean coast, from urban landscape to desert, from countryside to mountains. Madrid, Valencia, the Balearics and London complete the map with the same service structure.

What a real Local Service includes

It's not just "providing the technical crew". It's location scouting at realistic day and time, permit and insurance management, local fixers for secondary casting and extras, base camp and catering sized to the real crew, transport for the travelling team, vetted accommodation, technical translation on set and daily production reporting to the main client.

The international client doesn't have to learn how Spain works. They have to be able to shoot as if they were in their own market. That's what the service is about.

Languages and time zones

We routinely work in English and accommodate communication windows with clients in LATAM, the UK, Central Europe and the Middle East. Critical calls happen in the slot that best suits the client, not us. Daily reports always go out before local midnight.

Tax incentives and rebates

Spain offers attractive tax incentives to international productions. We're not tax advisors, but we know the process, we know what documentation the administration requires and we work with specialised firms that handle the rebate. It's one of the factors that weighs most in the decision to come and shoot here, and we handle it as a natural part of the service.

What we ask of the client

A clear briefing, one person on the client side with real decision-making power, and enough time between project approval and the first day of shooting. We provide the rest.
