Jerez: local production for an international campaign
HOME Abu Dhabi needed to produce the launch film in Jerez for The Royal Gala Opening Ceremony by ADREA. The shoot took place at the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre, a distinctive setting that required precise technical coordination.
At La Huella, we organised local production, permits, the technical crew, camera, lighting and sound equipment, and the logistics needed to turn the agency’s requirements into a workable plan.
Working with horses changes the way you plan a shoot. The camera, lighting, large-format backdrop, animal movements and working areas all had to fit together without getting in each other’s way. The aim was straightforward, but demanding: preserve the elegance of the equestrian performance while delivering the visual language of an international campaign.

The service can cover a day of location scouting or the full production. We define the scope around the script, dates, location and crew the client is bringing.

We plan each route from Seville around the locations, access requirements and technical needs of the crew. That variety gives us more options; travel times still need to be calculated for each shoot.
Communication throughout the shoot
We work in Spanish and English, agreeing communication windows, points of contact and reporting formats with each client. We organise the flow of information so the team can make informed decisions throughout the production.
A practical example is our dsm-firmenich shoot in Seville: four locations, one model and four wardrobe changes in a single day. The call sheet, route and portable equipment helped turn an ambitious idea into an achievable shooting day.
Incentives and production paperwork
Spain offers incentives for certain international productions, subject to specific requirements. We do not provide tax advice, but we can help organise production documentation and coordinate with the project’s specialists. Each case should be reviewed using current information before the budget is finalised.
As a starting point, the Andalusia Film Commission provides information about filming in the region. The Spanish Tax Agency explains the requirements for deductions for certain foreign productions. A commercial does not automatically qualify simply because it is filmed in Spain. A specialist should confirm eligibility before an incentive is included in the budget.
